The Australian mandatory internet
filtering project headed by twit Stephen Conroy continues to falter, with Telstra refusing to participate in the trial,
which is now planned to be some sort of closed-door affair. It's an idiotic proposal that
was first attempted by Liberal communications minister Helen Coonan. Closing the internet
classification loophole has long-been a goal of the government. Let's hope this second
launch fails to come online.
Whisperings on cult movie message
boards mentioned a new DVD of My Bloody Valentine that contained the MPAA-censored footage
as deleted scenes in a supplement. However, Toxic Wastoid Gary Goodwin just sent me a link
to a Dread Central
article that says new license holder Lionsgate are actually putting the cut
violence back into the film. Since I've never seen the movie, this release has screamed
to the top of my want-list. Patience pays off yet again.

Given that I'm pushing 40, it was about time I posted a more recent
photo of myself. With all the deceit and obfuscation on the Internet these days,
one must strive for honesty.
